About Me

After 29 years of roaming this earth I finally know what I want to do. I want to learn about tech, talk about tech and hear other people’s opinions on tech. My skills and motivation grow with my everyday use of websites, apps, gadgets, and games. These are exciting times and I am glad to be a part of it.

I grew up in the small town of (B)Orinda which makes me a Bay Area native.

I attended Cal State Long Beach because it was far enough away from home that I would unfortunately not be able help my parents with painting the house or picking fruit trees, but could be there in a few hours if one of them had a heart attack. I earned a B.A in journalism because I hate advanced math and when isn’t strong communicating and writing helpful? After college I found a crappy apartment 2 blocks from Disneyland and became a successful salesman for the Good Guys selling televisions and audio equipment to old people that needed screens large enough for them to decipher between Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes.

I moved back to the bay area to help my uncle who was a one man show in his wholesale florist shop in the San Francisco Flower Market. He has cataracts and is about 90% blind, which meant I had to take over anything that required sight in a small business. This included in no particular order; driving, bookkeeping, buying/selling product, handling the money/banking, legal/tax paperwork, and feeding the dog.

I got married in Hawaii in 2009 and my one year commitment that had turned into three at the flower shop was becoming more and more like a long term dead end job. My uncle finally scheduled surgery, I was married and it was time to move into the most brutal job economy in search of unpaid marketing internships that required 3 years of expertise and surprisingly not in the florist industry.

You can see I blog here 2-3 days a week following my passions and my part time job is margin marking and setting up a web strategy for LDL Designs Inc., a dental laboratory in Berkeley, Ca.
